Add your own mapping data (KML-files)

KML-files are text files, which mapping applications like Google Earth may use to display data and images, among other things, at specific locations on top of i.e. Google Earth and Google Map. Thus by making KML-files it is possible to display your own data and images in i.e. Google Earth.

KML-files must be structured according to specific templates. On the Internet you can find tutorials and tools for making your own KML-files, and there are also complete KML-files with different kinds of marine data. KML-files can be added to FreeSIS dynamically via the user interface.
