Particularly understanding how physical and chemical properties of the environment interact with biological processes to regulate otolith biomineralization and chemical composition, and how to use the chronological information stored in the otoliths to infer knowledge on fish growth, habitat use and movement that can ultimately improve fish stock assessment and sustainable management.
