DTU Aqua operates Denmark's largest research vessel Dana and has a range of smaller research vessels. 

Additionally, the institute has unique facilities for aquaculture research and research into production of shellfish and seaweed.

New facilities in 2017

In 2017, DTU Aqua's location in Charlottenlund relocated to new life science and bioengineering facilities at DTU's central campus in Lyngby together with the National Food Institute and the National Veterinary Institute. The move improves our experimental, laboratory, workshop and teaching facilities considerably.
