Cabins
Dana houses a total of 38 scientists and crew in fully air-conditioned single cabins, all with own toilet, bath and stereo systems.
All cabins are networked with 10 Mbps connections (to be upgraded to 100 Mbps in 2005), allowing scientists to access data on the ship’s servers and for some instruments (such as the Simrad EK60 echo sounder) even monitor data acquisition in real time from their own cabin.
Other facilities
A conference room with PC-projector and 100 MBps network allows for seminars and meetings.
Further facilities include library, combined mess- and dayrooms with wide-screen TV and an extensive movie collection, laundering facilities, store, sauna and gym.
