PhD defence about vulnerable ecosystems in Greenland

PhD Student Helle Jørgensbye has identified corals and other benthic sedentary organisms in Western Greenland which are particular vulnerable to human activities. On 2 January she will defend her thesis

Red algae form coral-like reefs in Greenland

Sometimes, red algae grow in coral-like formations. A PhD student is the first to identify 21 of these reefs off the coast of Greenland.

Coral reef discovered off Greenland

By sheer coincidence, Canadian researchers have discovered a reef of living cold-water corals in southern Greenland. PhD student Helle Jørgensbye from DTU Aqua has been investigating the reef further.
