Havfisken is on an educational cruise in Øresund
The research vessel Havfisken is taking students on fieldwork as part of a course in oceanography.
DTU Aqua’s Bachelor’s course in oceanography provides students with basic knowledge on physical, chemical and biological principles in the ocean and their interactions.
The course consists of lectures, exercises, lab work, a one-day field excursion on the research vessel Havfisken, and a group project.
Onboard Havfisken, students will use sensors and fishing gear to measure physical and chemical properties of seawater and determine the diversity of the plankton and fish communities.
