Anshul Chauhan, DTU Aqua, will defend his PhD thesis "Resolving marine ecosystem dynamics in time and space with machine learning approaches" on Thursday, 12 December 2024 at 13:00.
You can attend the defence online on Zoom via this link or in person at DTU, Kemitorvet, 2800 Kongens Lyngby, building 208, auditorium 53.
Anshul Chauhan’s PhD thesis focuses on improving our ability to predict and understand how phytoplankton respond to environmental changes, such as warming oceans and shifts in ocean currents. Phytoplankton are the foundation of the marine food chain and play a key role in regulating global climate by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The research uses artificial intelligence (AI) to understand the complex interactions in marine ecosystems and has important implications for understanding how climate change impacts the ocean.
A copy of the thesis is available for reading at DTU Aqua. Please contact PhD Coordinator Susan Zumbach Johannesen, szjo@aqua.dtu.dk
