Resumé
This talk will feature results from recent work applying integrative modelling tools to study biogeographic patterns at regional scales and beyond. Integrative modelling is used to understand and predict how ecosystems change in space and time in response to environmental changes. To illustrate the approach I will present examples of our recent work examining tropical coral reef fish biodiversity patterns, potential distributions of Arctic fishes, and population level responses to historical changes in climate. I look forward to discussing the possibilities for using these methods along with new advances in trait based approaches, to inform the management of Denmark’s coastal fishes.
